Award show season is in full swing and the nominations for Drake keep rolling in. Today the nominations for the 2013 MMVA’s (Much Music Video Awards) have been announced and Drake is up for four awards.
Back in April, Drake took to instagram to post a picture of Chef KayKay in his kitchen at his mansion in LA. The caption read, “ChefKayKay, knife and a smile…fajita night”. Art In Fact interviewed Chef KayKay recently in which she talked about how Drake came to be one of her clients.
Started from a picture, now we here. In 2013 MeMe’s have become a vital and funny part of social media. Last week DJ Khaled filmed the video for “No New Friends” which Drake is of course a part of. Drake was photographed on set rocking a Dada fit while striking a pose (above). Before I could even blink twice, the picture was virtually everywhere. Well, at least the Drake portion of the picture.
On Thursday night, Drake headed to STORY nightclub in Miami as he was the host for the evening. Lil Wayne, Warren Sapp, Teyana Taylor, and many more were in the building partying it up with Drake.
After a day of relaxing by the pool, Drake headed to STORY nightclub for the night. He was seen having drinks and laughing it up the whole night with the crew.
Busta Rhymes is a rapper/producer that is household name in the hip-hop world. He is currently a member of the YMCMB/Cash Money family along with Drake. In a recent Q&A with Rolling Stone, Busta talked being inspired by Drake and a possible collaboration with Drake over a J Dilla beat.
I said I would only do throwback thursdays when I was compelled and well, I feel compelled. Yesterday, the 2013 OVO Fest lineup was announced and it includes singer James Blake. In 2011, a dope mixtape was released which includes mashups of both Drake and James Blake’s songs.
GREAT NEWS! The 2013 OVO Fest line-up has been announced. Many have been asking for both the dates and information and we have it. This year OVO Fest will be a two day festival taking place on August 4th -5th. Frank Ocean and James Blake are set to perform on Day 1 while Drake will hit the stage on Day 2 with special guests.
Yesterday Drake and the crew packed up and headed to the beautiful city of Miami. Last night he was spotted out on Collins Avenue and also at Prime 112 restaurant. Today we receive news that they are in Miami to shoot the visuals for the “Started From The Bottom” remix “No New Friends”.
