When Drake released “Started From The Bottom” a few weeks ago, many were shocked to hear how different his tone and flow sounded. MTV had a chance to sit down with Birdman where they discussed the single, Drake’s appreciation for the Cash Money culture, and their relationship.

When asked what he thought of the single on the first listen, Birdman said “I think this record’s really something for him to be different…he’s not a normal guy. He’s one of the most talented, really on earth, to me when it comes to music.” He also said that because of Drake’s appreciation for the Cash Money culture “he’ll jab at it” and that he represents the brand well. When speaking on their relationship he mentioned that their is no truth to what the gossip blogs write and that there has never been any friction between the them. Watch the interview below.
