Drake And OVO Sound Perform Surprise Set At SXSW Fader Fort (Video)

On Saturday night during SXSW in Austin, TX, Drake and the rest of the OVO Sound artists performed a surprise set.

The Fader Fort is usually one of the main attraction for music lovers during SXSW and this year was no different. Before OVO Sound hit the stage rumors began swirling early in the day that Drake and OVO Sound would be the surprise guest. Those rumors were put to rest when the 6 God graced the stage along with the rest of the roster that very night.

DVSN, a newly signed OVO Sound artist, made his debut on the Fader Fort stage as he opened the set with his popular song “Too Deep”. He also performed “Hallucinations”. Both songs are on his debut album set to release on April 1st.

Roy Woods was the next to perform and he ran through a few of his songs including “Drama” from his EP ‘Exis’.

Majid Jordan played a few songs including some from their new self-titled album.

PARTYNEXTDOOR went on right before Drake and he performed quite a few songs including “Recognize”, “Welcome To The Party”, “Wus Good/Curious”, and more.

Last but not least, Drake performed a total of six songs: Energy, Big Rings, Jumpman, Know Yourself, Back to Back, and Summer Sixteen. During “Jumpman” Drake brought Metro Boomin and ran it back a few times. Additionally, he confirmed that ‘Views From The 6’ will indeed be coming out sometime in April.

For those that follow us on Twitter, we did Periscope a good portion of the show. For those that missed it, no worries as you can check out a few videos below.
