Drake’s ‘Nothing Was The Same’ Goes Platinum

On September 24th, Drake released his third studio album ‘Nothing Was The Same’. After a little over a month, the album has now reached platinum status giving Drake his third platinum album.

Last week ‘Nothing Was The Same’ sat at a total of 991,134 copies sold. This week with 50% of sales in ‘Nothing Was The Same’ has sold over 20,000 copies pushing it over the 1 million mark. Drake’s singles have done extremely well as “Started From The Bottom” and “Hold On, We’re Going Home” are both platinum. We’ve received visuals for both singles and are now awaiting visuals for “Worst Behaviour”. Drake is currently out on his US arena tour  ‘Would You Like A Tour?’ which will hit Europe and the UK this upcoming February. Congrats to Drake and the team on the success of ‘Nothing Was The Same’! Wrist and album are now both platinum.

Update: ‘Nothing Was The Same’ sold 38,274 copies this week. Total sales = 1,029,408

Sidenote: For those wondering, ‘Take Care’ currently sits at 2,082,000 copies sold while ‘Thank Me Later’ has sold 1,698,000 in the US.
