The accolades continue to roll in as Drake’s 2011 ‘Take Care’ album has made the shortlist for the 2012 Polaris Music Prize Award. The nominees were announced today at The Drake Hotel in Toronto, Canada and include Feist, Japandroids, and more. The winner of this prize is awarded $30,000 and will be chosen by a jury of over 200 members of the Candian music media.

Additionally, the winner will be announced on September 24th at the Polaris Gala and it will stream live on MuchMusic as there will be performances from the nominees. “Albums are judged solely on artistic merit, without consideration of genre or record sales.” Congrats Drake on making the list!
