According to Nielsen Music (and many others), ‘Views’ was the most popular release in the U.S. for 2016. The company goes on to report that ‘Views’ obtained 4.14 million equivalent album units, with 1.61 million coming from traditional album sales.
Additionally, ‘Views’ spent a whopping 13 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 Chart. ‘One Dance’ feat. WizKid & Kyla spent 10 weeks at #1 and was Drake’s first #1 as a lead artist on the Hot 100.
Furthermore, ‘Views’ streaming power was a force to be reckoned with. The album earned 2.02 million in streaming equivalent album units in 2016, which equaled 3.04 billion streams for the album’s tracks during 2016.
