Today the video for Majid Jordan‘s “Forever” premiered exclusively on V Magazine’s website. Along with the premiere of the video we learn they have received a profile in V93, the music issue of V Magazine.
Many of us first learned of Majid Jordan from their feature on Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” which released in August of 2013. In this interview they speak on the song stating:
“I started writing to a beat that Nineteen85 made—another producer we work with—and Jordan flipped that beat, combining his drums with my vocals,” says 24-year-old Majid. “Then Drake heard it and was like, ‘I want to make something with this.’ We walked into the studio the next day, and he had tracked it.”
After releasing their EP ‘A Place Like This’ last summer, the duo is currently working on their first full-length album. “People either listen for the sonic qualities or for the meaning and emotion you get from the song. We try to accomplish both.”
We already received a video for Her late last year and now they release the video for their track “Forever”. “The Jamie Webster (of Common Good) directed video follows a dancer as he improvs around artfully architectural buildings and the more mundane side of cities.”
