Little by little we are getting bits and pieces of information concerning Drake‘s junior album, Nothing Was The Same. Drake just recently remixed Migos hit song “Versace” making the saying become a worldwide trend.
In a recent interview with DJ Self, Migos tell us that apart from this remix they will be on Drake’s ‘Nothing Was The Same’ album. It’s great to see that Drake is embracing newer artist and giving them a chance. Definitely can’t wait to hear what this track sounds like! Catch the interview below and skip to the 3:20 mark. Also, I’ve included a list of information that we know about ‘Nothing Was The Same’.
What we know about Drake’s ‘Nothing Was The Same’ album:
The first track is called “Tuscan Leather” and includes a Whitney Houston Sample as well as a Curtis Mayfield sample from his 1987 Montreux performance that says, “Having the same fears, shedding similar tears, and of course dying in so many years, it don’t mean that we can’t have a good life.”
Drake got the name “Tuscan Leather” from a Tom Ford fragrance that some say smells like a brick of cocaine.
The intro also includes Drake saying these words, “How much times this nigga spending on the intro? How much times this nigga spending on the intro.”
The only song that Drake has released that will appear on ‘Nothing Was The Same’ is “Started From The Bottom”.
Jhene Aiko will be on the album.
The album releases on September 17th.
