For the month of December, Toronto Life magazine has released their power issue ranking the 50 most influential people in Toronto. Finally! After much wait and what seems to have been forever, the long awaited visuals for “The Zone” have arrived. The video was actually shot sometime last year, but The Weeknd has just now decided to “open the vault” and release the video. The hit song “The Zone” which features Drake, is from The Weeknd’s second mixtape ‘Thursday’. The Weeknd has been releasing visuals gradually leading up to the release of ‘The Trilogy’ mixtape series which will hit stores and iTunes on November 13th. Back in July we received word that 2 Chainz hit song “No Lie” which features Drake went gold. Today, we receive confirmation that the song has now hit the million mark in sales.
As we know last week was Drake’s 26th birthday. This past weekend he held his birthday celebration in Toronto and we were able to get his gifts to him. Information regarding the gifts was sent via the newsletter that you subscribed to on the site and the response was overwhelming.
While in D.C. for Howard’s Homecoming, Future brought Drake out as a special guest at Stadium Nightclub and the crowd went wild. A couple of days later as we reported, the pair were in the studio together in Atlanta.
Just when we were all wondering what Drake would dress up for as Halloween this year (if anything at all), a picture surfaces. Last night Ryan was kind enough to Instagram a picture of Drake dressed as Borat with the caption, “He is my neighbor Nushuktan Tulyiagby. He is pain in my assholes. I get a window from a glass, he must get a window from a glass. I get a step, he must get a step. I get a clock radio, he cannot afford. Great success!”.
As you probably already know, Drake finished earning his high school credits last week. Tonight Drake showed up at the Jarvis Collegiate commencement in Toronto to give a speech and pick up his diploma. Listen to his words of wisdom after the jump. Another reason why Drake is such an inspiration to us all. You wanted it and you got it. That’s right, after much anticipation OVO has finally opened up their official October’s Very Own store. There had been much speculation about a time and date as to when they would open, but the wait is no more. What a great way to start off Drake’s 26th birthday!
Ahhhhh, it’s October 24th! One of the greatest days ever. Drake’s 26th birthday is upon us. Seems like just yesterday he was celebrating his 25th birthday in Vegas and now here we are a year later. A lot has been accomplished by Drake in the past year. A platinum almost double platinum album, a three leg successful tour, breaking Billboard records, receiving and being nominated for numerous awards, receiving your high school diploma and the list goes on.
This week Canada’s morning show is celebrating it’s 40th year anniversary. The show has had appearances from young Canadian breakout stars such as Ryan Gosling, Shania Twain and even Aubrey Graham, or as many of us know him Drake. Found in the vault of the morning show is a video of Drake talking about landing the role of Jimmy on the high school drama Degrassi. Though Drake is far past his Degrassi days, it is still quite interesting to see this footage! Catch the video of Drake and some of the Degrassi cast after the jump.
